Luxemburry is an alpine realm of 480 km² in the heart of the Alps, unified in 1723 and governed from Valdoria by the High Warden.
Luxemburry lies in the high valleys where France, Germany, and Switzerland meet. It has one capital, five regions, a High Warden, and a way of life shaped by snow. Everything about the realm begins in one of these five places.

Born Prince Umberto Labio, he took the name Zevi on assuming office, after the founder of the realm. He is the head of the Abselet Dynasty, the guardian of the Charter, and, by long custom, the first person down Mount Cinder each December. His birthday, March 21, is Warden's Day, when new citizens are announced in Valdoria.
In Luxemburry, skiing is not a pastime. It is the national sport by law, and every Luxian learns it by the age of seven.
The season opens on December 1, when the High Warden makes the first descent from Mount Cinder, and closes on April 15. Four resorts serve the realm: Cinder Peak above Purgnar, Bonic in the Eastern Peaks, Aurelia Ridge above the lake, and the family slopes outside Valdoria. Every citizen holds a Realm Ski Pass, valid at all four.
Five regions, one capital. The Silvershine runs west from the Cinder Highlands past Valdoria to the Western Forest March; Lake Aurelia lies south of the capital; the Eastern Peaks rise toward Switzerland.
Luxian citizenship is conferred by decree of the High Warden, on the invitation of the Office of Citizenship.
Each new citizen receives a numbered Certificate of Naturalization, a place on the Register of Citizens, the Realm Ski Pass, and a seat at the Winter Solstice feast in Valdoria. Citizens are announced on Warden's Day, March 21, and on the day of their naturalization.
